Attractions

Certainly, there are a lot of interesting things to do here in Washington County.  But why?  Why not just try to do something very different.  Learn something new.  Do nothing.  Enjoy the quiet, have a glass of wine or a cup of Texas Shortbread or Brazos Bottom Pecan coffee, and get acquainted again.  How long has it been since you did nothing?

Should you venture out, the Chappell Hill Bluebonnet Festival in April and Scarecrow Festival in October are just outside the fence.  Also:

• Washington on the Brazos and the Barrington Living History Farm are 22 miles.

• The Antique Rose Emporium is 15 miles in Independence.

• The Bluebell Creamery is 10 miles west in Brenham where you can enjoy a tour.

• The Pleasant Hill Winery is just outside Brenham and has tours and tastings.

• The Fairgrounds where many events are held, is just a 15 minute drive.
